Our StoryNot only was Alpha Delta Pi the very first secret society established for women, but on March 1, 1969, Alpha Delta Pi also became the first sorority on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. Nearly 50 years later, our membership has grown to over 100 active members, with each sister striving to make ADPi not only the FIRST but also the FINEST organization on our campus.
Our ValuesOur mission states, "Established in 1851, Alpha Delta Pi is committed to sisterhood, values and ethics, high academic standards, and social responsibility." We believe that Alpha Delta Pi is a way of life and we strive to follow our sorority's open motto, "We Live for Each Other," in whatever we undertake.
On our campus, academic excellence is something we achieve as a chapter each semester and something we expect from our sisters. Our chapter GPA is higher than both the all-Greek and all-women GPAs at MTSU. Our members represent ADPi in the MTSU Honors College, on the Dean's List and as Presidential Scholarship and Buchanan Fellowship recipients. Campus involvement is another top priority for our chapter. We have members involved in a variety of organizations on campus including: Student Government Association, Blue Elite, SOA, Best Buddies, GAMMA, Freshman Council, Golden Key, Panhellenic Exec and Judicial Boards, Raiderthon, ROTC and the MTSU Cheerleading team. Alpha Delta Pi members can also be found in academic honor societies, departmental organizations, and community service groups. We pride ourselves on producing some of the top leaders on our campus and being True Blue! Sisterhood is the absolute foundation of our organization and something we know makes our chapter and its individual members stronger. We have monthly sisterhood events, each with the intent of helping our members learn more about themselves while bonding with one another. Our events include activities like dinners, sister skate nights, sisterhood Sundays, Bible studies, and movie nights at our chapter house. We understand college can be one of the best, yet most challenging times in a woman's life. We believe having a sister by your side can make all the difference!
